Puerto Vallarta's
location on Banderas Bay makes it an excellent destination for
ocean-lovers. The Bay Cruises listed in the tabs are boat tours
that will take you to one or more of Vallarta's best water locations.
As you cruise along the coastline, making your trip a panoramic
delight, you will most likely see dolphins, sea turtles, manta
rays and even whales (when in season)! Most will offer a chance
to snorkel or kayak, enjoy the beach and swim, as well as food
and drinks. For your convenience, we offer large or smaller
boats, long or shorter excursions, public or private cruises,
and fun-filled trips like that on the pirate ship, or a leisurely
day on a sailboat. We are sure you will find something to your
liking!
Q:I ARRIVE TO PUERTO VALLARTA
VIA CRUISE SHIP. WHERE DO THE TOURS DEPART FROM? A: Detailed instructions will be specified on the e-ticket
you will be receiving. In general though, the bay cruises depart
from the maritime terminal, which is the same pier your ship
docks at.
Q:HOW HOT OR COLD IS THE WATER
IN PUERTO VALLARTA? A: During the winter months until around late April,
the water temperature in Puerto Vallarta ranges from a low of
68F to a high of 79 F (20 - 26?C). It is also during this time
of the year that whales are seen within the bay. The water gets
warmer starting May with the warmest month being August, ranging
from 80F to as high as 85 F (27 - 29?C). Take note that the
temperature of the water around the Marietas Islands is also
a few degrees colder than it is within the bay.
Q:WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT WATER
VISIBILITY? A: In Puerto Vallarta, the water is clearest during the
summer where June through October the visibility ranges from
60 ? 130 feet. The rest of the year (November ? May), you will
see anywhere from 15 ? 60 feet.
Q:I HAVE KIDS IN MY GROUP. WHICH
TOUR SHOULD I CHOOSE? A: The Marigalante?s Treasure Land tour would be the
best bet for you group, especially if you have younger children
with you. All tours are kid-friendly though.
Q:WHICH ONE WILL GIVE ME THE BEST
SNORKELING EXPERIENCE? A: We can?t guarantee we will provide you with the most
unforgettable snorkeling experience of your life (we will sure
try though!), but the majority of the time the best snorkeling
happens at the Los Arcos marine preserve or the Marietas Islands,
depending on water and weather conditions of course.
Q:WHAT IF I AM THE TYPE THAT GETS
SEASICK? A: Even if the water is normally calm and smooth,
it would be best if you took Dramamine (or any other over-the-counter
drug that prevents seasickness) 1 hour before the tour starts.
Make sure you bring another one for the ride back!
Q:WHICH ONE WILL TAKE ME TO THE
BEST BEACH? A: All of the beaches visited on these tours have a certain
charm and to designate one.
